Yuguda gives N2m each to slain corps members’ families

Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State  has offered N2 million to each of the families of the 10 slain members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who were killed in the post election violence in the state.  Yuguda who announced the offer yesterday shortly after taking the oath of office for a second term at the IBB Square in Bauchi said the government  offered three Hajj/Jerusalem pilgrimage seats to each family of the victims killed in the wake of the post election violence in the state, in addition government offering free scholarships for two of the slain corps members’ younger siblings from secondary to the university level in any Nigerian university. Yuguda presented the cheques of the money to the state NYSC director for conveyance to the families of the deceased on behalf of the state government before a mammoth crowd that witnessed the swearing in ceremony.

The governor did not however utter a word on the six citizens of the state which included two Giade-based businessmen, policemen and other people that lost their lives in the post election violence.

Mallam Isa Yuguda  described as barbaric and satanic, the killing of innocent citizens during the elections, saying he preferred the swearing-in ceremony be done quietly in the Government House in honor of the post election victims.
